French born visual artist
Lives and works in Paris

Myriam Santos's work is shaped by images and forms collected through investigations, travels, encounters.
She photographs men, the animal world, the plant world and tells their interconnections in the form of installations in which language, anthropology, archeology, science fiction, literature, cinema and music are involved.
Her experience as a set designer for the cinema as well as in the creation of monumental sets is prolonged in the questioning of the relation to space and its perception: she plays with the scales, the relations between reality and fiction, the intimate and the outside.
Her research to date is focused on the human's ability to develop means of compensation to overcome physical or psychological limits imposed by an invironment or a history.
She is currently conducting an anthropo/photographycal study with people who have become blind.
